Zorin OS

My name is jason I have been into computers since i was young im still a little new to linux i have had experience with damn small linux, fedora, and mint linux my goal is to learn zorin inside and out my problom is that im am having dificultys getting WiFi networking to actuly work i have downloaded the .deb package of WiCD and to no avail i can not get it working i have no other network connection besides wireless pls teach me the zorin ways !!!
